Yarward Joins the SDVoE Alliance as an Adopting Member

Yarward, a global healthcare communication technology provider, joins the SDVoE Alliance to support Ethernet-based AV applications in medical and eldercare environments

MONTREAL (March 30, 2026) – The SDVoE Alliance, a nonprofit consortium of technology providers collaborating to standardize the adoption of Ethernet to transport AV signals in professional AV environments, announces that Yarward has joined the Alliance as an adopting member.

Founded in 1998, Yarward is a global provider of communication and interaction systems for medical care and eldercare. Yarward integrates technologies such as audio and video communication, power line carrier communication, AI and IoT into hospital wards, operating room, outpatient clinics and eldercare facilities. Yarward solutions are deployed in more than 9,500 hospitals and support more than 5.1 million beds across more than 60 countries. Headquartered in Zibo, China, Yarward operates research and development centers in Zibo, Beijing, Shenzhen and SuZhou. Yarward holds more than 150 national patents and more than 240 software copyrights, and more than 30% of its 500 employees work in research and development.

“We are pleased to join the SDVoE Alliance and support the continued development of AV-over-IP technologies, specifically SDVoE’s applications in the operating room,” said Zhou Lei, subsidiary general manager for Yarward. “As healthcare environments become increasingly connected, technologies that enable reliable, high-performance communication infrastructure play an important role in improving collaboration between medical staff and enhancing patient care.”

“We are pleased to welcome Yarward to the SDVoE Alliance,” said Stephane Tremblay, president of the SDVoE Alliance. “Healthcare environments depend on reliable communication systems and the integration of advanced network technologies. Yarward’s experience developing solutions for hospitals and eldercare facilities brings a valuable perspective to the Alliance as the adoption of Ethernet-based AV continues to grow across global markets.”

The SDVoE platform is built on a 10 Gbps Ethernet architecture known as the “Power of 10,” enabling high-performance AV applications with zero latency, uncompressed video and scalable system design over standard network infrastructure. As healthcare environments adopt more connected technologies, organizations such as Yarward can leverage SDVoE’s 10 Gbps platform to support advanced video distribution, real-time communication and integrated AV systems across hospitals and eldercare facilities.
