Zigen Joins SDVoE Alliance, Debuts New Product Line at InfoComm 2019
IP-Logic video and audio distribution system leverages standards to give integrators a single product investment that performs across markets
MONTREAL — June 6, 2019 — The SDVoE™ Alliance today announced that Zigen, an engineering leader in 4K connectivity solutions, has joined the alliance as an adopting member. At InfoComm 2019 (Orlando, June 12-14), Zigen will debut its new IP-Logic product line in the SDVoE Alliance booth 1143.
Zigen’s IP-Logic platform gives users the ability to deliver any HDMI source to any display. The IP-Logic encoder/decoder units come equipped with autonomous EDID management and independent scalers to allow seamless video distribution in mixed display environments. Key features include sub-millisecond latency 4K60Hz 4:4:4 and HDR video distribution over commodity Ethernet infrastructure; support for PiP, tiling, multiview and video wall processing; and an independent audio matrix.
“Zigen takes pride in delivering reliable high-quality products that meet the needs of installers and end-users alike,” said Ed Dellalyan, founder of Zigen. “Our business has grown to this point by word of mouth because the guys who use our product swear by them. We expect our SDVoE-based products to have the same level of success as we join the SDVoE Alliance in leading pro AV from traditional matrix switch designs to more versatile, interoperable SDVoE networks.”
“We welcome Zigen to the SDVoE ecosystem and are excited to see their eagerly awaited SDVoE products hit the marketplace,” said Justin Kennington, president of the SDVoE Alliance. “The combination of SDVoE with support for broadcast standards in their new IP-Logic series is an innovative direction in audio/video connectivity.”
All AV distribution and processing applications that demand zero-latency and uncompromised video can benefit from SDVoE technology, which provides an end-to-end hardware and software platform for AV extension, switching, processing and control through advanced chipset technology, common control APIs and interoperability. SDVoE network architectures are based on off-the-shelf Ethernet switches, thus offering substantial cost savings and greater system flexibility and scalability over traditional approaches, such as point-to-point extension and circuit-based AV matrix switching.

About the SDVoE Alliance
SDVoE is an initialism for “Software Defined Video over Ethernet”. The SDVoE Alliance is a non-profit consortium of technology providers collaborating to standardize the adoption of Ethernet to transport AV signals in professional AV environments, and to create an ecosystem around SDVoE technology allowing software to define AV applications. The alliance participates in tradeshows and conferences, publishes white papers and case studies and promotes SDVoE technology, and solutions based on the technology, to system integrators, designers and consultants. Training and installer certification are also part of the mandate. The SDVoE Alliance founding members are Aquantia, Christie Digital, NETGEAR, Semtech, Sony and ZeeVee. All interested parties are invited to join the alliance and work toward its goals. For more information, visit sdvoe.org and follow us on Twitter @SDVoE.
