Icron Presenting “SDVoE and ExtremeUSB®: Unique Applications Combining Video and USB” in the SDVoE Alliance Booth at InfoComm 2018
20-minute educational sessions covering USB 2.0 and 4K video extension
Burnaby, British Columbia – May 31, 2018 – Icron Technologies Corporation, a leader in USB and video extension technology, and the SDVoE™ Alliance, the industry consortium driving standardization of no-compromise AV signal transport over Ethernet, announced today that Icron will be hosting three educational speaking sessions in the SDVoE Alliance InfoComm 2018 booth (N720) from June 6-8, 2018 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
“SDVoE and ExtremeUSB®: Unique Applications Combining Video and USB,” a 20-minute daily presentation by Icron Business Manager Joan Solven, will cover technical specifications and switching features of ExtremeUSB technology along with use case applications for USB 2.0 and 4K video extension.
“Icron’s ExtremeUSB technology is widely recognized as the most broadly compatible and flexible way to extend USB signals across a point-to-point connection or standard IP network,” said Justin Kennington, President of the SDVoE Alliance. “InfoComm attendees may be surprised to learn that ExtremeUSB offers additional features to complement video transmission including switching, simultaneous broadcasting and device filtering to name just a few.”
“ExtremeUSB technology uniquely offers transparent plug and play extension of all USB 2.0/1.1 device classes over Ethernet,” stated Joan Solven, Business Manager at Icron. “Go beyond KVM and leverage our highly configurable SwitchableUSB™ API to route USB touch screen, microphone, camera and flash drive traffic along with your video.”
