SDVoE Alliance to Present Free Case Study Sessions at ISE 2018

Integrators and technical experts will talk about SDVoE deployments in universities, museums, control rooms, smart homes, corporations and live event venues

MONTREAL — Jan. 29, 2018 — At Integrated Systems Europe 2018 on Wednesday Feb.7, the SDVoE™ Alliance will present a wide-ranging program of educational case study sessions highlighting real-world AV-over-IP installations in universities, museums, control rooms, smart homes, corporations and live event venues.

Open to all attendees at no charge, two sessions are planned, each highlighting multiple cases were 10G Ethernet is used as the transport for AV signals to provide substantial cost savings and greater system flexibility and scalability over traditional approaches such as point-to-point extension and circuit-based AV matrix switching. Integrators and technical experts will lay out the challenges they faced, the specific solutions they found, and answer participants’ questions.

“There is no better way for integrators and tech mangers to understand the ins and outs of AV-over-IP and SDVoE than to hear about actual successful projects from their peers,” said Justin Kennington, president of the SDVoE Alliance. “Education is a primary mission of the SDVoE Alliance and we are proud to provide these free sessions at the biggest industry event of the year.”

About the SDVoE Alliance

SDVoE is an initialism for “Software Defined Video over Ethernet”. The SDVoE Alliance is a nonprofit consortium of technology providers collaborating to standardize the adoption of Ethernet to transport AV signals in professional AV environments, and to create an ecosystem around SDVoE technology allowing software to define AV applications. The alliance participates in tradeshows and conferences, publishes white papers and case studies and promotes SDVoE technology, and solutions based on the technology, to system integrators, designers and consultants. Training and installer certification are also part of the mandate. The SDVoE Alliance founding members are AptoVision, Aquantia, Christie Digital, NETGEAR, Sony and ZeeVee. All interested parties are invited to join the alliance and work toward its goals. For more information, visit sdvoe.org and follow us on Twitter @SDVoE.
